The waiting is over: today I merged the JavaTestKit into Akka’s master branch. Please read the docs for all the gory details. Since code says more than a thousand words, here’s a teaser:
This is about as close as we can get to a Java API which is on par with the Scala counterpart; further improvements can be expected once Java 8—most importantly its lambda expressions—are available.
So, everyone, grab it while it’s hot, play with it, and tell me what’s missing!
PS: JavaDocs are on the horizon, just hang in there. [it’s harder than it may seem if you don’t know that ScalaDoc ignores Java classes]
